Packed and ready

We’re packed and ready. Three bags to check, one carry on with a couple sets of clothes, just in case checked luggage gets delayed or heaven forbid, lost, and a Camera/Computer bag.

One last night’s sleep here in the states, then our schedules are likely to get confused. Kenya is a seven hour time difference from here. So as I write this at 10pm, it’s just starting to get light over there. Plane leaves at 3:15pm, so we have a little bit of time in the morning for last minute things we have forgot.

We’ll hook up with a friend (Laurie, picture to follow next posting) who will drop us off at the airport and take care of the car for us while we’re gone.

The biggest time shift going over will happen on our flight to Amsterdam. That flight will be a bit over 8+ hours or 4k+ miles. A four hour layover in Amsterdam, then back on another pane for the next 8+ hours and another 4k+ miles. Think of all the great frequent flyer miles we’ll be getting.
