After the orpahnage we stopped at Giraffe Center. The center is home for a number of playfull giraffes. Key to being their friend, HOLD FOOD. They don't like you so much if you are not intending to feed them.

Our first stop on day six was an elephant orphanage. This first little girl was only 3 months old. Most of the orphans are recovered from poachers.
The Orphange is open only one hour a day at 11am for a feeding and play time. The goal is to keep contact with strangers to a minimum so the orphans can return to the wild. This normally happens when the elephants are in their early teens.
After feeding, the youngsters play around a bit. The one below is rolling in the mud.
We have a short video of the orphans eating, but the load time here is very long. Will load it after we return to the states.

But in this case the dancing was done by the Hotels dance and acrobatics troup. The show was great. We were not allowed to take pictures so you'll just have to take my word on the quality of the show. Ealy night, because day 7 is the wedding. Busses picked us up at 6:30 this morning to go to the first wedding ceremony (South Indian cast), which was followed shortly after by the second wedding ceremony (North Indian cast).Since the bride and groom are from different casts, they celebrated both. Turned out to be about 5 hours total. Pictures next posting. Having some issues with the camera today.
